Kenrick Kevin Longsworth, the son of Lavern ‘Antichrist’ Longsworth, today joined his mother after he was remanded to the Belize Central Prison on a medley of charges. The twenty-one-year-old Belize City resident appeared in the courtroom of Magistrate Hettie Mae Stewart this morning, and was read charges of attempted murder, dangerous harm, use of deadly means of harm, robbery and burglary. The charges arise from three different incidents. Police believe that on July thirteenth, Longsworth shot a cashier at the Public’s Supermarket on East Collet Canal. Police also believe that Longsworth robbed a customer in Public’s at gunpoint. And finally, they believe that Longsworth is responsible for a burglary in the Fresh Pond Area of Burrell Boom, committed on August eleventh while he was on the run. In court today, Longsworth pleaded not guilty to the robbery and burglary, while no plea could be taken for the other offences which are indictable. Magistrate Stewart ordered him remanded to prison, and he is to reappear in court on September twenty-fifth.
