Police have arrested and charged two brothers in connection with the double murder that happened on Sunday, July nineteenth in San Ignacio. Thirty-one-year-old Minor Galindo and thirty-four-year-old David Galindo of Santa Elena were charged with conspiracy to commit murder. Police say the brothers were connected to the fatal shooting that claimed the lives of footballer Windell Trapp and taxi-operator Samuel Hill. You’ll also recall that the shooting injured three others, including national team football player Danny Jimenez. The report is that the Galindo Brothers are believed to have planned the attack on Trapp but the shooting was executed by thirty-three-year old John Alexander Hendy and twenty-six-year-old Travis Tyler Navarro who were charged days after the murders. Today police tells us more about the latest charges in connection with this case. Here’s more from ACP Joseph Myvett.

ACP Joseph Myvett, Head, National Crimes Investigation Branch

“On Yesterday’s date, San Ignacio Police arrested and charged David Galindo and Minor Galindo for Conspiracy to Commit Murder. And this is in relation to the murders of Windell Trapp and Samuel Hill that had occurred about two weeks ago.”

Andrea Polanco

“Sir, do we know if the Galindo’s had an issue with Trapp?”

ACP Joseph Myvett

“Yes. There had been an ongoing issue and at some point I believe there was some sort of intervention to try and bring some calm to the situation between the two groups.”
