Joseph Vacarro
In the magistrate’s court three grown men were arraigned for the stabbing of a minor. The trio appeared before Magistrate Hettie-Mae Stewart. They are fifty-four year old Joseph Vacarro, a fire fighter and driver of a Jane Usher Boulevard address, thirty-four year old Rupert Garnette, a resident of Oleander Street in Belize City and thirty-three year old Kenrick Crawford, an auto mechanic of Vernon Street. The three were jointly charged with Attempted Murder and Dangerous Harm and were remanded to the Belize Central Prison until March twelfth, 2014.

The incident for which they are charged occurred back on January sixteenth and involves fifteen year old Christian Martinez, who was stabbed multiple times and left to die. But fortunately for him, he made it to the K.H.M.H. and survived the incident. Martinez was riding his bicycle and was near his home when the three men exited a vehicle and threw a maul which hit him to the back. One of the assailants then stabbed him with an ice pick.
