Camille Ferguson
After being unable for the third time to produce any proper identification to prove her true identity, Camille Ferguson was spared jail time today. When Ferguson appeared before Magistrate Stephanie Gillett, this morning, she again failed to provide either a social security card or a passport. Magistrate Gillett told her that the court simply could not deal with her matter without being able to truly tell her identity. This is because Ferguson has been using three different names. When asked why she has not been able to apply for either forms of identification, Ferguson, who claims she is a teacher, told the court that she goes to school and has not had time to do so. Well this morning, Magistrate Gillett told her that she needs to prioritize things and she will have to go behind bars for eight days. Ferguson was in court on a land and tenant case in which her landlord wants her out of a house for failure to pay her rent. Late this afternoon, Ferguson produced a driver’s license and was freed.
