Special constable charged for the theft of Tyrell Hyde

And in the Belize City Courts, thirty year old Special Constable Joslyn Gill, has been granted bail of four thousand dollars after being charged with theft of two hundred and sixty dollars from Tyrell Hyde, the Belmopan resident who was allegedly ingeniously and brazenly shaken down by Gill, Reymundo Requena and Edgar Teul, on September eighth. The cops stopped Hyde and his passengers and herded him off to the Atlantic Bank ATM in Belize City where they also stole more cash and other items in a manila envelope. Gill gave the media quite the run-around at court today, slipping in and out with the undercover help of his comrades on the force. Not only that, he reportedly slapped a journalist’s camera out of his hands this afternoon as the journalist was trying to get his picture. That journalist has made a complaint to police.
